Eden - 4th - California
I’ve finished the class! I learned how to group and ungroup things on Inkscape, I’ve learned what nodes are and how to use them, and how to use the basic tools of Inkscape!
The catboy drawing is of one of my characters who cosplays a lot, the Sammy the lammy drawing is of my sheep, (I made these two both before I knew how to color) and the butterfly drawing is of my animation on TupiTube!
Thank you so much for making this class, it was so much fun and I really loved it :DD

I’ve finished DM101 At first it was not what I expected but I ended up liking it a lot, I learned many things like being able to draw on images and even learn to animate, and using all the tools among many things but I’m just going to say that this was an amazing class.
Valeria - 6th grade - California
I have finished DPP101, by watching all the videos and completing the quizzes. I did enjoy this course on Digital Photo Painting and learned how to apply filters to my creation, implant images from one image to another, and recoloring images. I liked this course because it also gave me an introduction to photoshop, which, of course, may be necessary as an additional skill in the future. It also introduced me to a bitmap program, Gimp, which I will be using for quite a while now as I have grown fond of its features.
Damian - 10th grade - California
I finished dpp101. I finished the videos and quizzes. It was quite a fun course. I was able to learn how to use the bitmap program gimp to speed up the process of creating characters in my video games. To be honest, I was not expecting to benefit from this course considering I was just doing it to advance and get to the course I really wanted to do but to my surprise I really did enjoy it and was able to incorporate it into my workflow process of making miny games and game mods. So yeah I enjoyed it and am looking forward to completing the next courses
Lily - 9th grade - California
I finished Digital Photo Painting and learned how to edit images. I learned how to edit brightness, add filters, duplicate objects, and edit colors in a photo. Not only did I learn how to edit an image alone, but also how to import a drawing into a photo or a photo into a game-making program. I didn’t expect to like photo editing as much as other forms of digital art, but it’s more fun than I thought, and useful too.
Sierra - 5th grade - California
I have finished the DPP101 course. I thought that this course was the best out of all the ones I have done. I learned so much like how to put digital photo paintings on t shirts and mugs. I learned how to turn photos into paintings, I learned how to use many of the filter tools, and I learned how to layer different types of things.
Eydrian – 12th grade - California
In DDP101, I learned about how to properly layer, use the pencil tool, node tool, the ellipse tool, how to trace, and much more! (Even though I struggled with tracing a lot in this lesson, haha) I had tons of fun in this class, and hope to improve soon.
Lidia - 7th grade - California
I really enjoyed this course. Previously, I’ve done DM101, DPP101 and DDP101. And what I really liked about this course, was that I was able to learn new skills in applications like Inkscape, GIMP and Blender. The parts that I liked in the course was when I was editing my YDACS letters, adding elements to my ocean scene, and when I created a short animation of a bouncing ball.
Thank you very much for the hard work you guys do to teach others how to use their drawing skills and incorporate them in pictures and animations!
Bruce - 12th grade - California
GREAT CLASS!!!! I truly liked this class. I had a great experience, lots of fun and I learned how to create 3D drawings using blender . How to use extruding, shading and smoothing for a drawing. Editing materials and added my first camera. Adding lights and rendering drawings I got to use levels, gradients and lens flares. Also used grease pencils. The part that I loved the most was when I finished the animation and played it. It was so satisfying watching an animation that I created.

I’ve finished watching all the videos and all the quizzes of da101. I thought it was really neat that I learned how animation in general works and I’d like to try it on my own sometime, but for now I think I’ll work on learning how to draw before I bring my drawings to life.

Matthew – 11th grade – CWCS
Hello,
I just finished watching all of the lessons and completed all of the quizzes. The video game design skills I learned in VGD102 include how to create an RPG using frames, similar to the old Pokemon on Gameboy. I also learned how to create and move a character in an 8 direction movement and created a frame that included the inside of a house. What I liked about this class, is that I can create a more realistic area for my character to move around and it is similar to 3D.
