Digital Photo Painting 101

DPP101 students learn the basics of digital photo painting to create professional looking digital art using free software.
Students learn all about pixels, manipulating color, hue, saturation, how to control and modify lighting, shading, contrast and then jump into all kinds of artistic filters including: colored pencils, dry brushes, fresco, palette knifes, pastels, smudge sticks, watercolors, blur, brush strokes, pointilize, chalk and charcoal, and stained glass. They also learn artistic effects including blizzards, fluorescent chalk, lizard skin, neon lights and oil pastels.
DM101 is the prerequisite for this course.
